This Privacy Policy explains how Luxia Home collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our services, including the Luxia Home Alexa Smart Home skill (the “Skill”), our account services, and connected devices (“Services”).
2) Information We Collect
We collect only the information needed to provide the Services.
A. Account and identity information (Account Linking)
When you link your account, we may receive:
- Account identifiers (for example, a user ID in our system)
- OAuth tokens (authorization code, access token, refresh token)
- Basic profile attributes you consent to share (for example, email address)
B. Device and usage information
To operate smart-home functionality, we may collect:
- Device identifiers (e.g.,
deviceId), device type/model, and firmware/app version - Device state and telemetry needed for functionality (e.g., on/off state, last update time; if your device supports it, optional metrics such as energy/power readings)
- Logs related to requests and responses (timestamps, request IDs, and error diagnostics)
C. Alexa request data
When you use Alexa to control devices, Amazon sends us Skill directives that can include:
- The requested action (e.g., TurnOn/TurnOff/ReportState)
- A token representing the linked account
- The endpoint/device selected
We do not collect payment card data through the Skill.
3) How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Authenticate you and link your account (OAuth / Cognito)
- Discover and register your devices to your account within the Skill
- Execute your voice commands (e.g., turn devices on/off) and return device state
- Maintain reliability and security (fraud prevention, abuse detection, troubleshooting)
- Improve Services (performance analytics, error reduction)
4) How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share information only as necessary:
- With Amazon/Alexa: to respond to Skill directives and provide Skill functionality
- With service providers: such as cloud hosting, monitoring, and security services (e.g., AWS infrastructure) acting on our behalf under contractual obligations
- For legal reasons: to comply with law, enforce agreements, or protect rights, safety, and security
5) Data Retention
We retain information only as long as necessary:
- Account and device linkage data is kept while your account is active
- Operational logs may be retained for a limited period for security and troubleshooting
- You can request deletion as described below
6) Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect data, including:
- Encrypted transport (TLS) for communications where applicable
- Access controls and least-privilege policies
- Monitoring and audit mechanisms
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; however, we work to protect your information.

- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
- Object to certain processing or request restriction

8) Children’s Privacy
Our Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9) International Users
If you access the Services from outside the country where our systems operate, your information may be processed in those locations. We apply appropriate safeguards consistent with applicable law.
10) Third-Party Links and Services
Our Services may rely on third-party platforms (e.g., Amazon Alexa). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. Please review Amazon’s privacy disclosures for Alexa.
